With a solid background in social, observational, travel and adventure documentaries, Swift Films has a wide range of interests in factual programming. We specialise in making highly visual, unique, personal and entertaining films with strong, driving narratives for major UK and international broadcasters.
We are passionate about individuals and organisations with unique perspectives on life. We seek to bring new voices, inspiring ideas and original stories to the fore within our films. As such, we are always on the lookout for quirky, unusual and distinctive characters with strong, relevant stories to tell.
We also apply our expertise in making acclaimed broadcast programmes to creating unique films for business. We have experience of working with small to medium enterprises to big corporations, helping to create and brand distinctive films for various business needs.
In addition, we also have a love of drama and are interested in developing short and feature length productions with interesting approaches to distribution. Above all, we have an enthusiasm and passion for filmmaking that is reflected in our approach to production and in the finished output.
About Richard Nicholls - Managing Director
Richard is an award-winning producer and director. Originally from Edinburgh, he worked as freelance television director and editor for many years before setting up Swift Films in 2004. A graduate of film school, Richard has a background in theatre and film and has a love of Film Noir and 1970s American cinema. He was inspired to become a filmmaker after seeing Twentyfourseven, the debut feature film by British director Shane Meadows. Aside from filmmaking, Richard has a love of football, chocolate and cats.
