Swift Films nominated for West of England Royal Television Society Award

Race Across America has been nominated for a prestigious West of England Royal Television Society Award.

The one hour film charts the remarkable journey of a solo British cyclist Jim Rees attempting to break the British record for cycling over 3000 miles across the USA.

This is the third award nomination for the film having won ‘Best Sports Documentary’ at the European Mefest film festival and notching up a nomination for ‘Best Television Production’ at the Media Innovation Awards 2009.

The Royal Television Society Awards will be held later in the month.

Before launching Swift Films, Richard worked as a broadcast TV director and editor, working on programmes for the BBC, ITV and Sky.

A multi-skilled and technically-minded filmmaker, Richard is equally at home coming up with creative concepts as he is on location filming or pulling footage together in the edit suite.

Richard is a member of Independent Producers Scotland and has a love of cats, football, chocolate and Film Noir (in that order).
