International Dance Festival Birmingham 2014

By - Richard - 25th April 2014

We are delighted to announce that we will be working with International Dance Festival Birmingham once again, providing the filming coverage for the UK’s largest Dance festival. The biennial festival kicked off today and promises a diverse mix of indoor and outdoor shows and participatory events from some of the best artists around the world.

In 2012, Swift Films worked with the Festival and provided coverage of the hugely ambitious dance adaptation of the classic Wim Wenders’ film Wings of Desire in Birmingham’s Victoria Square. The pinnacle of this year’s festival is another outdoor extravaganza called B-Town, featuring explosive dance from World B-Boy Champions Morning of Owl (South Korea; Directed/Choreographed by Sez Lee), Dance Nuvo and an all star line-up from the Funkstylerz UK collective brought to you by ProDance, and starring Brooke, Shawn, Marvel, Roxy and Chicago Footwork don, King Charles.

Update 1/6/14: Please see the IDFB 2014 showreel below with highlights of the whole festival.
