Edinburgh Marathon 2025 filming coverage

We had a great time filming all of the different running events at the 2025 Edinburgh Marathon Festival weekend.
It is always a challenge filming at multiple locations on the iconic marathon route, but we were blessed with dry [but very windy] weather this year.
Thanks to the McEwan Hall for allowing us to film the start of the Marathon from the top of their building. This perspective really shows off the scale of the event.
A big thank you to all of the runners who took part, and for smiling and waving at our cameras along the route. Hope to see you again next year!

Before launching Swift Films, Richard worked as a broadcast TV director and editor, working on programmes for the BBC, ITV and Sky.
A multi-skilled and technically-minded filmmaker, Richard is equally at home coming up with creative concepts as he is on location filming or pulling footage together in the edit suite.
Richard is a member of Independent Producers Scotland and has a love of cats, football, chocolate and Film Noir (in that order).
