Short Channel 4 Documentary

Swift Films Producer / Director Richard Nicholls was invited to Channel 4 to direct a short documentary about the identity crisis faced by a 15 year old boy who is part Serbian, Hungarian, Polish, French, German, Greek and English and who now lives in the Westcountry.

Nicholas Jovcic-Sas was a winner in Channel 4’s Rawcuts competition and was invited to London to have a documentary made about his own thoughts on his identity. Made in one day, the short film called ‘Mixed Blood’, can be seen on Channel 4’s Fourdocs website.

Richard Nicholls - Managing Director

Before launching Swift Films, Richard worked as a broadcast TV director and editor, working on programmes for the BBC, ITV and Sky.

A multi-skilled and technically-minded filmmaker, Richard is equally at home coming up with creative concepts as he is on location filming or pulling footage together in the edit suite.

Richard is a member of Independent Producers Scotland and has a love of cats, football, chocolate and Film Noir (in that order).
