Film about newborn photographer

It was a privilege to make this short film about newborn photographer Alie Calvert from Blue Sky Photography .
We documented the process that Alie goes through when photographing newborn babies. It requires a lot of patience!
Typically these newborn photo shoots are with babies who are between two and four weeks old. As a Mother herself, Alie is like a baby whisperer, cuddling and nurturing the babies and instinctively knowing the best time to capture photos.
It was fascinating to document this process. A real passion of ours is documenting our own social history. Baby photos are so important and capturing the right photo is something that can last the test of time.

Richard Nicholls - Managing Director
Before launching Swift Films, Richard worked as a broadcast TV director and editor, working on programmes for the BBC, ITV and Sky.
A multi-skilled and technically-minded filmmaker, Richard is equally at home coming up with creative concepts as he is on location filming or pulling footage together in the edit suite.
Richard is a member of Independent Producers Scotland and has a love of cats, football, chocolate and Film Noir (in that order).
