The most beautiful place in Scotland

By - Richard - 24th June 2021

In this video, I spend a weekend at the most beautiful place in Scotland – Kinloch Rannoch in Perthshire.

It’s a place which is very dear to my heart. I have been coming here regularly since I was two years old. My parents had a timeshare here and since then I have always found it the perfect place to switch off and recharge my batteries.

Almost a decade ago, I got engaged here. I asked [my now wife] Kirsty to marry me on the shores of Loch Rannoch on a wild autumnal day and it’s a place we have returned to again and again. Our two boys have also fallen in love with the place.

With no mobile phone reception, it’s a part of Scotland where you can fully switch off and take in the beauty of the surroundings.

In this video, I reflect on a lifetime of visiting this part of the world. It features drone footage captured on a glorious weekend at Loch Rannoch. When the sun shines here, really there is nowhere in the world I would rather be.
