Stop procrastinating with this one simple tip

By - Richard - 13th May 2021

In this video, I share the one most effective tip I have ever come across for avoiding procrastination and getting stuff done.

Last Monday evening was a typical occurrence. After sharing a takeaway pizza, I fell asleep on the sofa. I woke from my carbohydrate coma drowsy and grumpy. It was midnight and all I wanted to do was transition to my bed as quickly as possible.

Momentarily, I contemplated not brushing my teeth and just going straight to bed in the clothes I was wearing. But I’m 42 years old. At a minimum, I’ve got to brush my teeth. And then I remembered that I hadn’t hung out the washing that I did earlier…

This was a massive pain. It would take me at least 20 minutes to fold away the dry clothes and then hang up the newly washed clothes. It’s late. I’m tired. It’s not important and quite frankly, I can’t be bothered.

This conundrum is the basis for this video. By implementing the simple tip I had learnt, I was able to stop procrastinating and get the task done.

Prior to learning this tip for overcoming procrastination, I would have naturally defaulted to doing the laundry the following day. But not now. Even in my drowsy, grumpy state I was able to use this one tip to overcome my lethargy and get the unpleasant task done.

This amazing tip was something I Iearned from the excellent Jim Connolly many years ago and it’s something I have been using to great effect ever since.
