Race Across America

By - Richard - 1st June 2007

Swift Films are set to make a documentary about “the world’s toughest event”, the transcontinental 3000 mile Race Across America. Solo British cyclist Jim Rees is attempting to break the UK record cycling coast to coast in America.

Battling desert heat of 115 degrees, thin mountain air, and travelling across 14 states and four time zones, the Race Across America is the most extreme cycling marathon event for the world’s toughest athletes.

As he cycles for 20-21 hours every day for 12 days, his back-up team of doctors, physiotherapists and psychologists will provide him with the physical and mental strength to help achieve his ultimate goal. Swift Films will be there to capture all the pain and glory in an intimate portrait of a very demanding feat.
